Pulses Production In India: Exporting pulses from abroad has become a matter of tension for the central government. Every year lakhs of tonnes of pulses have to be imported from abroad. Market experts say that the production of pulses in the country is good. But due to the high population of the country, this production falls short. People in India are more fond of eating pulses. Pulses cannot be sown in that much quantity. For this reason, the central government has started work on promoting the production of pulses and bringing the prices under control.
Prices will be controlled by a two-point plan
The central government itself is worried about the rising prices of pulses. To overcome this, the central government is now planning to work on a two-pronged plan. A meeting of business organizations and senior officials of the central government was held in this regard on Thursday. In the meeting, discussions were held on reducing the prices of rising pulses. The central government has indicated that domestic production of pulses will be promoted, as well as the process of importing pulses will be further simplified. The ministry is trying to increase the production of pulses by next year and if more pulses are imported then the prices of pulses will be controlled in the country.

The government is trying its best to make pulses available in the country at affordable prices in the year 2023. Let us inform that there is a difference of about 25 lakh tonnes in the demand and supply of pulses in India. Means 25 lakh tonnes are exported from abroad in the country. The central government is trying to reduce this gap by increasing domestic production.
